The English are coming!

Yesterday's announcement by UK Transport Minister Grant Shapps confirmed that, from July 19th, English tourists who have been fully vaccinated in the UK will not have to observe quarantine on their return from amber-listed areas, which include mainland Spain and the Canaries.

Baltasar Gomez, head of Lanzarote's tracing team, has said that 45 people who have received a double dose of vaccine have since tested positive for Covid.

Canarian reservations increase

The news that the UK will lift almost all anti-Covid restrictions at home on 19th July has caused an increase in holiday reservations throughout Spain, although full details of when travel restrictions will be lifted have still not been announced.

Terminal 2 reopens

Terminal 2 at Lanzarote's César Manrique Airport reopens today after being closed since last June. The smaller terminal will once again be used for inter-island flights between the Canary islands, while the larger Terminal 1 will handle national and international air traffic.
