The new project will result in the installation of 232 LED lights, on 75 streetlights. The new lights will be installed along the Avenida César Manrique (Pedestrian Ribera del Charco de San Ginés) and on the streets: Avenida Olof Palme, Avenida Vargas, Calle Emilio Ley, Calle Doña Micaela Hernández, Calle Domingo Fajardo, Calle Zonzamas and Calle Lugo.
The new LED lights will require less electricity to power and will result in significant savings. Additionally, the light levels will be adjustable for different times in the day.
Ayuntamiento Councillor, Roberto Herbon, stated “We will switch from 54.67kw usage to 15.80kw. This will result in significant savings in the electricity.”
Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Perez, added “we will see a great transformation of the Charco and the surrounding area, a unique public space that shows continuous commercial growth.”
