The Mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, visited the facilities at the new SOCO shopping mall in Puerto del Carmen, along with Ayuntamiento councillors.

The new SOCO shopping mall, which features a new Mercadona supermarket, and 346 parking spaces is the newest opening along the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
The Mayor, along with Deputy Mayor, Nicolás Saavedra, and Urban Planning Councillors Ulpiano Rodríguez and Kalinda Pérez, visited the new centre.
“We are aware of the need for parking lots in Lanzarote’s most visited tourist area. These parking lots and this shopping center are located on the front line of Puerto del Carmen and are therefore of great value for residents and visitors. Little by little we are improving the infrastructure, both public and private, to offer a better service to citizens,” said José Juan Cruz.
The parking spots are located above the shopping area and can be used 24 hours a day.
