UD Lanzarote have appointed Ángel López as their coach for the 2025-26 season following the departure of Juan Carlos Socorro.
The 44-year-old Gran Canarian enjoyed a successful playing career with UD Las Palmas, RC Celta de Vigo, Villarreal CF and Real Betis, and won five caps for Spain’s national side.
He coached UD Santa Villa de Brigida in las Palmas from 2022, where one of his achievements was knocking UD Lanzarote out of the play-offs for promotion in 2023.
López will replace Juan Carlos Socorro, who announced his departure from the club last week.
