The Arrecife Ayuntamiento observed a minute’s silence yesterday in memory of the latest victim of gender violence in the Canary Islands.
On January 8th this year the Canary Islands recorded another incident of gender violence on in Tenerife.
The Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, along with municipal staff, observed a minute of silence for the 46-year-old woman who had tragically died this month.
Pérez expressed her repulsion at the crime, and called for unity to stamp out gender violence in the Canaries.
