This September, residents of Yaiza over the age of 16 will have the opportunity to take part in a free guided tour of Timanfaya to “bring the unique natural area to the residents of the municipality.”.
The Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, applauds the decision of the park director to “organise a calendar of guided tours through Tremesana because if we know our landscape better, we will surely have more interest in preserving it.”.
The free guided tours are for residents of the Yaiza municipality only and you must be age 16 or older. The tours will take place in September on Thursdays from 9am until 12:30pm, with a maximum of eight spots per tour.
The route consists of a 3 kilometre walk on the Tremesana route, which makes it possible to observe the different volcanic structures.
