Housing rental prices in the Canary Islands have risen 5.2% in the first three months of 2024.
The 5.2% rise in rental prices has brought the average rent per square metre in the Canary Islands to €13.45 euros per month, according to data provided by Fotocasa.
Only four Spanish autonomous communities experienced a higher increase in the first quarter: Castilla-La Mancha (10.7%), La Rioja (8.9%), Región de Murcia (7.9%), Madrid (5.4%).
The Canary Islands place behind Madrid (18,32 €/m2), Balearic Islands (17,54 €/m2), Catalonia (16,49 €/m2) and the Basque Country (15,35 €/m2) for average monthly rent per square metre.
