Injured turtle rescued in Puerto del Carmen

Yesterday morning Lanzarote’s wildlife unit was called to rescue an injured loggerhead turtle stranded on the coast in Puerto del Carmen.

The injured turtle was spotted at Playa El Caletón de Enmedio in Puerto del Carmen and reported to the island’s wildlife unit.

Upon arrival the team found the stranded turtle and assessed any injuries it might have, later taking it to a safe place until it recovers.
