Five webcams will provide continuous live online footage of Puerto del Carmen’s most popular beaches, allowing Lanzarote lovers to see the weather and state of the sea in the island’s most popular resort at any time, from any part of the world.
Tías Ayuntamiento has announced the installation of two webcams on the beach of Playa Grande and one each on Playa Chica, Los Pocillos and Matagorda. The primary purpose of the cameras is promotion of the resort, allowing tourists to see the conditions on Lanzarote in an instant.
The project will cost a total of €22,500 and the cameras will be installed over the coming weeks. We’ll provide more information as soon as the cameras are in operation.
