700 athletes will compete this Saturday in the upcoming K10 Xtreme Bestial Race in Yaiza.
Hundreds of athletes from all over the Canary Islands, Spain and Europe will compete in the upcoming K10 Xtreme Bestial Race this Saturday in Yaiza. Starting at 5pm this Saturday, the day will mark the third edition of the K10 Xtreme race.
The race has two options, 5km and 10km, in which athletes will attempt to complete a physically taxing obstacle course near the municipal cemetery and near the Plaza de la Alameda in Yaiza.
Although the race directors did not want to give away any details about the obstacle course, they did reveal that the circuit will be made up of up to 40 obstacles.
Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, emphasised “Yaiza is already known for sports tourism in the Canary Islands with our events, which will be the focus of media attention this Saturday”. The Cabildo Counillor for sport added that “Yaiza continues to be the focus of island sport and demonstrates it with the sports calendar on offer.”.
Yaiza Councillor, Ángel Lago, stated that “The race is an outstanding event for Yaiza due to the nature of the event, the significant number of participants who accept the challenge represents the projection of the image of our municipality.”.
The K10 Xtreme Bestial Race is the only evening race that finishes at night.
