The much-loved Tinajo Bocata Tour is back for its milestone tenth edition, inviting food lovers to explore local flavours from 30th October to 16th November. This year, ten establishments across the municipality will participate.

This anniversary edition continues the successful formula of previous years, with numerous bars and restaurants contributing their unique culinary creations. Each will showcase premium local produce, such as Lanzarote cheese, prawns, tomatoes, and the distinctive Tinajo onion.

For those preferring to dine at home, the event once again offers the popular takeaway option from all ten participating locations.

As is tradition, customers can pick up a route card and collect stamps. Anyone who collects at least three stamps will be entered into a prize draw for three vouchers, each worth €100, to be spent at any of the Bocata Tour establishments. Furthermore, by completing the card, participants will also have a say in voting for the best bocata of this year’s edition.

Completed cards must be handed in at any participating establishment or at the Casa de la Cultura before 8:30 a.m. on 17th November. The draw will be held later that morning at 9:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live on Tinajo Ayuntamiento social media channels.

The Bocata Tour offers a perfect excuse to discover and enjoy the offerings at the following participating venues:

  • Restaurante La Santa
  • Cervecería Malpeís
  • Bar El Barquillo
  • Lucha de Buda
  • El Chinchorro Burguer
  • Bike Stop
  • El Callao Burguer
  • Pastelería Damien
  • CSC La Vegueta
  • CSC La Santa

The Mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, and the Councillor for the area, Vianney Rodríguez, said, “We want to highlight the tenth edition of the Tinajo Bocata Tour, a renewed commitment to local products, to our closest products, and to our gastronomic establishments. This is a new opportunity to get closer to local cuisine, which, at this time of year, coincides with other events organized by the Tinajo Town Council, such as Los Finaos and Tinajoween, which will undoubtedly encourage customers to participate and possibly win one of the prizes. Undoubtedly, the main objective is to continue promoting local trade and the consumption of products from Tinajo. We invite residents and visitors to enjoy the Tinajo Bocata Tour once again this year.”
