Rubbish bin fire in Playa Blanca

Fire fighters were called to the Rubicón Shop & Fun centre last night after reports of another rubbish bin fire.

At approximately 10:30pm, emergency services were called to the main road leading into the Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca after reports of another rubbish bin fire in the resort.

Upon arrival, fire fighters found that a rubbish bin across the street from the Rubicón Shop & Fun centre had been set on fire.

The fire, which affected two rubbish containers, was successfully extinguished before further damage could be done. However, one of the bins had been destroyed and will have to be replaced.

No injuries were reported.
