Lanzarote’s Data Centre has published the 2023 edition of its bilingual “Lanzarote In Figures” document, which details island information including climate, population, the economy, tourism, transport and more. Available to download for free.
Every year the Centro de Datos Lanzarote (Lanzarote Data Centre) collect select data from that year and publish them together in an annual report. The report comes in both Spanish & English, covering a variety of topics.
Last year the island recorded 63% average humidity, 32 days of rainfall, 38.7mm of accumulated rainfall, and an average temperature of 22.7 degrees Celsius. Perhaps most notable is that in 2022 the island recorded 49 days of rainfall and 130.2mm of accumulated rainfall.
In 2023 Lanzarote recorded a total population of 159,021, of which 64,826 in Arrecife, 5,507 in Haria, 19,200 in San Bartolome, 23,881 in Teguise, 21,433 in Tias, 6,759 in Tinajo and 17,415 in Yaiza. Compared to 2022 this is an increase in population of 1.8%.
