The Lanzarote Cabildo held a celebration for International Pride Day this Wednesday, thanking the associations that chose to celebrate at the Cabildo with an “act that unites us with a common goal.”
“I believe that we all understand the reality that we are a collective, and therefore, this act, which commemorates such an important date that marked the beginning of the Pride movement, it is essential to remember and celebrate it to promote greater tolerance,” stated Cabildo President, Oswaldo Betancort.
The event saw various LGBT+ associations come together and provide talking points for the island, and ended with a group photo in front of the Cabildo with a canvas featuring the slogan “Lanzarote Orgullosa.”
