The César Manrique airport recorded 68.9% more passengers in August than it did in August 2020.

A total of 468,777 passengers were recorded last month, which is the highest number of passengers recorded since the start of the pandemic according to AENA. Compared to August 2020’s total of 277,430 passengers, that is an increase of 68.9%.

Numbers are continuing to improve month to month. However, the island has not yet reached pre-covid figures. August 2019 saw a total of 686,632 passengers arrive on the island (218,075 more than August 2021).

There were a total of 4000 operations recorded last month, which is an increase of 24.6% compared to August 2020 and a nearly 20% increase on July this year.
