Last night marked the start of Diwali celebrations at Playa Blanca’s popular Indian restaurant – Indian Delights. We took a trip down to join in the fun.
The restaurant has been covered head-to-toe in colourful materials and lights, and the staff are all wearing stunning traditional clothing.
We’d managed to grab the last table in the restaurant – which was fully booked throughout.
For starters we ordered a fish pakora, meat samosas, papadums and mixed sauces. For our mains we ordered two chicken curries with rice (balti & bhuna).
We simply didn’t have any room left over for a dessert, however, restaurant owner Ramesh had organised traditional Indian sweets to be handed out for free… how could we say no!
Throughout the night a live saxophone player walked between the tables and serenaded diners with smooth r’n’b classics, groovy tunes, and traditional music of course.
As part of the celebrations, the restaurant has added special Thali dishes from 21,95e and a vegetarian option for 19,95e. The Thali dish is a platter of various smaller dishes.
Don’t worry! You haven’t missed the celebrations – they will be running until this Friday. Call to book – +34 828 05 82 29.
