19 patients suffering from Covid died in the Canaries since Tuesday, the highest number since the move to the new method of reporting.
The victims were aged between 65 and 97. 13 were on Tenerife, 5 on Gran Canaria and one on Fuerteventura.
Figures now suggest that the recent spate of infections has now reached its peak and is in decline, with rates in the over-60 age group falling on all of the islands apart from El Hierro.
Lanzarote has the lowest hospital occupancy rate of any of the islands, and continues with no patients in intensive care.
