Canarian residents can now receive their Covid certificate from Farmacias (chemists shops). The measure has been introduced in order to reduce the amount of people attending crowded health centres for the document.
Demand for certificates is likely to increase on Lanzarote now that the Covid pass is compulsory in many establishments and events, and not everyone is able to download the certificate from the app at micertificadocovid.com or via their mihistoria medical records page.
The certificate will be issued free to Canarian residents, and applicants need to produce their NIE or TIE card, or those of the person they are claiming on behalf of. We cannot confirm whether other forms of ID, such as blue health card or the green residency certificate backed up by a passport, will be accepted.
