Arrecife Ayuntamiento has released a new online tourist guide in Spanish, English and German, to allow visitors to learn all about Lanzarote’s capital.
The new tourist guide has been presented at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid by Arrecife’s mayor, Yonathan de León and the Councilor for Tourism, Eli Merino.
Visitors can enter the platform by scanning a QR code on tourist information leaflefts or typing in the link www.arrecifeontour.com/en where they will gain access to a list of Arrecife’s attractions, a brief description about them and directions to them.
Currently the platform comes in three languages, Spanish, English and German, but more languages will be added in the future.
De León emphasised during the presentation that Arrecife is “proud to be the birthplace of César Manrique, the architect of Lanzarote as a destination linked to nature and ecology, to have one of the most beautiful marinas in the Canary Islands, the special charm of the Charco de San Ginés, and the entire coastline of the capital is surrounded by a large promenade overlooking the castles of San José and San Gabriel. Few capitals in the Canary Islands have so many attractions on their seafront”.
