The proposed Christmas airport strikes in Spain have been called off by unions after an agreement was reached to pay workers the productivity payments that had been suspended during the pandemic.
Spain’s largest union, CCOO, had called the strikes for six days over Christmas and the New Year, but announced yesterday that the Secretary of State for Transport had informed them that the payments would recommence.
