Five airline companies are adding new destinations to their winter operations from Lanzarote.
Ryanair, Vueling, Wizzair, Jet2 and Lufthansa are going to be incorporating new routes into their winter operations this year, with four new destinations available from the César Manrique Airport.
President of the Lanzarote Cabildo, Maria Dolores Corujo added “Lanzarote is going to have most operations in its history, thanks to the intense work that the Cabildo have done to promote the return of tourism”.
Head of Tourism, Ángel Vázquez followed up “These new routes that have been added show that Lanzarote is a sure destination.”
For the first time in its history the César Manrique Airport is going to have direct flights to Lisbon, Naples, Bratislava and Wroclaw this winter. Ryanair have already started to open 3 flights a week to the Portuguese capital, as well as weekly flights to Naples and Bratislava.
Weekly flights to Wroclaw will open up on the 22nd of December by Wizzair.
There will be a total of 13 new routes from the airport, of which 11 are going to be running from November as the remaining 2 open up in December.
Additionally, Ryanair started running flights to Marseille, Turin and Venice; Wizzair started to run flights to Milan and Rome.
Lufthansa and Jet2 added new flights to their programs as well, flying to Frankfurt and Bristol respectively. Lastly, Vueling have opened a weekly flight to Amsterdam and will add Copenhagen to that list from December 4th.
These new routes help to add to a total of 555 weekly operations, with the help of 35 airlines, from November to April. This winter Lanzarote will have connections with 86 airports in 19 different countries around the world.
