Spain hits the million mark as Canarian recovery stutters
NewsSpain became the first country in Western Europe to register a million cases of Covid-19 yesterday. The grim landmark came on a day in which a record total of almost 17,000 new cases was reported, and every community in Spain apart from Navarra and La Rioja ( two of the worst-affected areas by far) posted a rise in infection figures.

NewsWe're saddened to hear of the recent death of Feliciana Gil Ferraz - better known as Nina – the “Godmother” of UD Lanzarote who could usually be seen selling raffle tickets for the club as fans filed into the stadium on a Sunday morning.

Calls for curfew
NewsSpain’s health minister, Salvador Illa, is considering introducing a second nationwide state of alarm in order to institute a night-time curfew. It is not yet clear to which regions the curfew will apply, although El Pais has reported that it will be “nationwide.”
