A flight from Luton to Lanzarote was diverted to Portugal on Thursday morning after a fight broke out involving seven passengers.
According to reports from Mail online, the pilot of the Ryanair flight threatened to divert to Faro in Portugal after a group of seven men who had been drinking started to bother some female passengers. A steward who tried to intervene was knocked over.
The plane then landed at Faro airport, where local police officers boarded the flight. Several of the disruptive passengers were removed from the flight and one man was arrested before the flight continued.
