The Yaiza Ayuntamiento have asked for help with Taxis in the south of the island, as rental car shortages cause increase in Taxi usage.
More and more tourists are visiting the south of the island and its causing concern for the Yaiza Mayor Óscar Noda, who predicts that the shortage of hire cars are putting a strain on the Taxi service.
The Yaiza Ayuntamiento have requested the help from Tías, so the passengers can be picked up on time.
The Yaiza Mayor explained, “There are hotel guests that are in danger of missing their flights, and that is not something that we can allow, we must solve it. That’s why we have asked for help, as we have in the past, when the Taxi service has been very busy.”
“The priority for tourists is the airport transfers, so that they can catch the return flights. They cannot miss their flights”, Noda reiterated.
Additionally, the Yaiza Mayor pointed out that Playa Blanca appears to be more in-demand than other municipalities. Which is why the Tías Taxi service has been asked to help out, as they are a part of the same cooperative.
