Woman rescued after suffering injury at Playa del Risco

A woman was rescued after suffering a leg injury at the Playa del Risco yesterday.

The reports say there was a landslide near the beach, which is accessed by a winding, rocky path on the Famara cliff face, and some rocks had landed on the victim’s leg.

Rescue services based on La Graciosa crossed the Rio on a jetski, confirmed that the woman had injured her shin, dressed the wound and transported her to Órzola, where she was taken to a health centre.
