Fancy a long weekend in Fuerteventura? The Fuerteventura Cabildo have announced their new “Bonofuerteventura” tourist voucher allowing Canary Islands residents to receive a spending voucher between September 1st and November 30th.
This week the Fuerteventura Cabildo’s tourism department have announced their new “Bonofuerteventura” tourist vouchers which hold either 200- or 400-euros spending money. Residents of the Canary Islands, over the age of 18, can apply for the card.
The idea is that the applicants pay half of the total, to generate business on the island. For example, if you pay 100 euros for the Bonofuerteventura card you will receive 200 euros spending money and if you pay 200 euros you will receive 400 euros spending money.
The cards can be used in catering, tourist leisure, and experiences attached to the Bonofuerteventura program – between the 1st of September and 30th
Fuerteventura Cabildo’s Tourism Councillor, Jessica de León, encourages all to enjoy the island of Fuerteventura and “all the experiences it offers as well as our quality cuisine, with local products and many activities on offer.”.
You can apply for the voucher at this link, registration opens TOMORROW: www.bonofuerteventura.es.
How do I get to Fuerteventura?
The most popular, and cheapest, way to get to Fuerteventura is by boat at the port in Playa Blanca. The prices for residents are cheap – Lineas Romero offer a trip there and back for just under 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children between the ages of 3 and 11.
The boat ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
