Lanzarote saw the highest averaged daily tourist spend in the Canaries in the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest survey of tourist spending.
Lanzarote registered an average daily spend of €198.60 (including flights and accommodation), more than €10 ahead of Tenerife, and €25 higher than Fuerteventura. It is the highest figure ever that the surveys have ever registered on the island.
Higher accommodation prices accounted for most of the increase, although tourists also spent more on flights, leisure and shopping than in the first quarter of 2025. Spending on eating out is the only category that has decreased slightly from last year.
