Yellow heat alert extended until Tuesday

AEMET, Spain’s weather agency, has added another yellow heat alert until Tuesday, as the current heatwave continues.

This means that yellow alerts are in place from 11 am until 8 pm both today (Monday 25^th May) and tomorrow (Tuesday 26^th).

Daytime temperatures will be around 29 degrees Celsius, with possible maximums of 34 degrees tomorrow. Breezes will pick up tomorrow after the wind shifts back to the prevailing northern alisio.

Extremely high UV index levels of 10 to 11 mean that great care should be taken in the sun.
