Calima to continue across Lanzarote as temperatures reach 30C

Lanzarote will continue to experience calima conditions during Wednesday, although air quality is predicted to improve slightly.

Air quality on the island is currently classified as “unhealthy”, with vulnerable groups prone to feeling immediate effects on their health. The air quality is predicted to be “poor” by early afternoon.  

Temperatures will also remain higher than usual, with possible maximums of 30 degrees Celsius predicted. This will be accompanied by high levels of humidity. 

Similar conditions are predicted for most of the week, possibly continuing into the weekend.
