Tenerife residents know the Tinajo-grown lentils well, as they have proved popular recently.
“Like our grandparents, like our ancestors”, stated the boss of Lanzarote Natural, Daniel Lasso, who “encourages more Tinajo farmers to recover the traditions of the village.”.
The lentils produced in Tinajo now join the wine, vermouth, saffron, salts and mojos, among other items, that Lanzarote Natural has offered to the market.
Tinajo Ayuntamiento’s Agriculture Councillor, Luis Miguel Pérez Berriel, praises “these kind of initiatives that add value to Tinajo’s primary sector.”.
The Mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, stated that “this is the way forward for the sector, combining tradition with modernity and taking the Tinajo name everywhere. Congratulations to Lanzarote Natural and keep up the hard work.”.
