A Jet2 flight carrying passengers from Gran Canaria to Manchester was recently forced to schedule an emergency landing – so that passengers could use the toilet.
The flight took off from Gran Canaria, but once in the air it was soon discovered that none of the toilets were working. Passengers became increasingly more desperate, and with at least two and half hours of leg-crossing agony ahead of them, the captain decided to land at Bilbao, in northern Spain, as a matter of urgency.
Once on the tarmac, passengers left the plane to find sweet relief, the toilets were repaired and the flight resumed without incident.
