A Civil Guard patrol from Costa Teguise discovered a “strange situation” on Monday afternoon. When agents arrived at a house near Caleta de Famara to deliver an official judical summons to a person, they discovered that the door of the house was open and “the house was in a great mess”.
After calling to the occupants, they were answered by a voice from inside. This turned out to be a man in his 60s, who claimed he had fallen and been lying in bed since Sunday, without moving. He was suffering pain in the back and ribs.
The agents administered first aid, then called an ambulance, which took the man to the Hospital in Arrecife fort treatment.
It is not reported whether the summons was served.
