Search for Jay Slater continues

The search for missing British teenager Jay Slater continues on Tenerife today.

Jay disappeared after spending the weekend at the NRG music festival in Playa de las Americas in Tenerife. At the festival he left his two companions to go to the house of some friends he had met at the event. Later, after discovering that he had missed the bus home, he decided to walk.

Jay was last heard from on Monday morning, when he called a friend to tell them that he was lost, thirsty and had cut his leg on a cactus. The call was traced to the Teno Rural Park, an area of steep mountains and cliffs. The search is currently concentrated on the barranco de Masca, a ravine on the southern edge of the park.
