The trial of Raúl Diáz, accused of murdering his young wife Romina Celeste in 2019, will finally commence tomorrow in Las Palmas.
Jury selection will begin tomorrow for the trial, in which Díaz admits dismembering and disposing of his wife’s body, but denies killing her. The trial is expected to last two weeks, and the victim’s mother and her lawyer have already travelled to Las Palmas to attend.
Díaz was controversially released from prison in January this year after the maximum four-year period during which a person can be held without trail expired.
