Tías has brought tomorrow’s maritime procession forward to 9.30 am in order to comply with the heat alert recommendations.

The procession, in which the image of the Virgin is carried to the harbour and paraded on fishing boats, was originally scheduled for midday, Saturday 9th August, but as an orange alert is in place from 11 am to 7pm, the council have brought it forward to 9.30 am.

Other fiesta events are cancelled until 7pm when scheduled concerts will take place as normal. The land procession on Sunday at 7pm will also continue as normal.
