The PSOE have denounced that the traffic lights in Arrecife “do not work” and demand that Arrecife’s mayor “leave the parties aside and work on road safety.”.

“The traffic lights in Arrecife are constantly broken, from Calle Manolo Millares to Calle La Inés, Méjico, Aniagua. Generating a feeling of permanent insecurity in road traffic at the entrance and exits of the abandoned city,” criticized the PSOE councillor, Cristina Duque. “The traffic lights of Arrecife served for Yonathan and Jacobo to take a picture, and then nothing, all day, broken” commented Duque.

“There have been many months that we have had to see that the traffic lights do not work putting at risk the integrity of vehicles and pedestrians in the city, something very serious, which defines the irresponsibility of the current government. Not to mention the feeling of abandonment of a city that cannot see how even a group of traffic lights work,” Duque added. “It [Arrecife] is not cleaned as it should be, it is not de-rooted, no new projects are made… only those that were underway are executed… the capital is abandoned to its fate and permanent revelry,” Duque stated.

“The PSOE demand that the mayor of Arrecife gets to work and stop with photos and parties and at least put the traffic lights in operation, I do not think it is too much to demand,” concluded Duque.
