Playa Blanca ready for carnival

Yaiza has launched its carnival poster for 2024. The theme of the parades will be the “Animal World.”.

Yaiza’s 2024 carnival will be Animal themed and held in Playa Blanca between March 8^th – 10^th. This year’s poster design was chosen by a jury from a total of six submitted artworks and is titled “Plastilina.”.

Created by illustrator Rubén Lucas García, “Plastilina” showcases a colourful illustration full of carnival motifs, animals, and recognisable points in Playa Blanca such as the sailboat roundabout, the lighthouse in Faro Park and the statue along the seafront. García will receive a prize of 1,000 euros for winning the competition.

The main parade in Playa Blanca will take place on March 9^th and will start at Playa Flamingo and end at the Plaza Nuestra Señora del Carmen (the square in front of the church in town.)
