Yaiza Ayuntamiento, along with the Cabildo, have put out to tender a project to improve the road leading out of Playa Blanca to Femes with an investment of 1.1 million euros.
Last Friday, March 1st, the Cabildo published documentation for a project to improve the 5.6 kilometre stretch of road leading out of Playa Blanca to Femes. With an investment of 1.1 million euros, co-financed by FDCAN, the project aims to improve the condition of the road that supports considerable traffic.
Yaiza Mayor, Óscar Noda, stated that “we have demanded this action from the Cabildo, to provide the project to improve the traffic conditions of the road. It is one of the accesses to Playa Blanca, it supports considerable traffic, so the objective is to achieve a more comfortable and safer driving for our residents and tourists”. The road will have 7.40 meters of roadway, 3.70 meters in each direction of traffic, and a shoulder of 2.5 meters.
Interested companies have until March 25th to submit bids and two months to complete the work once the contract is agreed.
