The Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, accompanied with Councilor for Roads and Works, Roberto Herbón, visited Calle Folías last Friday to see the 21 new low-consumption energy efficient LED streetlights that have recently been installed. The new lights save on energy consumption and substantially improve the lighting in the area.
Calle Folías falls within the area of Argana Alta in which the Ayuntamiento will carry out an accessibility and clean-up plan, starting long overdue projects which will improve the sidewalks.
In addition to this, the largest playground on the island will be constructed along Calle Tajaraste, followed by more works which will take place on Calle Tajaraste.
The installation of the new low consumption LEDs came from the Ayuntamiento’s own funds and installed by the Public Lighting Department.
