The Nakai restaurant, ran by chef Jon Pérez, offers a refined Asian street food menu with stunning presentation and a focus on using local ingredients. The restaurant has announced new openings hours and is now open throughout the day on certain days of the week.
Nakai’s menu is a culmination of chef Jon Pérez’s experiences prior to opening the restaurant when he trained in Malta and Madrid under the two-star Michelin chef Ramón Freixa. But it was in Vancouver, with its 40% Far Eastern population, that really shaped his passion for Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean techniques.
The refined menu offers diners a taste of cuisines across various Asian countries with popular dishes such as gyozas, bao buns, poke bowls, pad thai and of course sushi.
Since its opening the Nakai restaurant has become a favourite amongst locals and a reference point on the Playa Honda seafront. Here at the restaurant Jon combines his experiences across various different restaurants and cuisines to create a special gastronomic experience for his diners.
Jon changes the menu every couple of months to give regular diners something new to try as well as featuring new dishes that he has perfected in the kitchen.

As for drinks the restaurant offers a range of Asian beers from Japan, Thailand, and China, as well as local Lanzarote beers. For wine lovers the restaurant offers an extensive wine list with local wines made from grapes grown on Lanzarote and the Canaries.
