Yaiza Ayuntamiento has opened registration for the highly anticipated Magma Triathlon Lanzarote. The event will be held on Saturday, 11th April 2026, with Playa Blanca serving as its start and finish line.

Athletes can choose to compete in either sprint or Olympic distance formats. The course promises a spectacular backdrop, weaving through areas close to the iconic Janubio Salt Flats and the dramatic landscapes bordering Timanfaya National Park.

Registration is now live for both individual participants and relay teams via the Summits Sports Events platform at summitsportsevents.com. The registration period will remain open until Wednesday, 8th April 2026. All registered entrants will receive an event pack including a souvenir T-shirt, a swimming cap, a cycling cap, and a small backpack.

Yaiza’s mayor, Óscar Noda, stated, “We are promoting an event that not only encourages physical activity, but also strengthens the image of the municipality as a sports tourism destination. I invite all sports enthusiasts to join us on this magnificent occasion.”

Yaiza’s Councillor for Sports, Ángel Lago, added, “The Magma Triathlon is a unique opportunity to experience sport in an unparalleled setting. Thanks to the joint efforts of all the public and private sponsors, we hope to offer an experience that exceeds participants’ expectations and leaves them with unforgettable memories.”
