Mask use will be much more limited after todays new law. However, don’t throw your mask away just yet, as it will still be required in certain situations:

A quick reminder to where masks must still be worn by law:

  • On public transport (buses, taxis, planes, trains), as well as indoor areas on ferries (excluding cabins).
  • In health centres and establishments. These include hospitals, health centres, chemists shops, opticians, orthopedic and hearting aid shops, and physiotherapists. Beauty salons and hairdressers are not included in this category.
  • In old people’s homes and care centres, by staff and visitors in shared areas.

Individual companies may also require employees to wear masks in situations that will be decided by health and safety delegates.

There is, of course, no requirement to remove your mask, and individuals are free to wear them in any situation of their choice.
