The beautiful town of Teguise has been selected as a finalist for “Best Cultural Village” in the Pueblo del Año awards. There are only a few days left to vote, which you can do online for free.
Mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, encourages the entire population “to participate in the vote so that, finally, Teguise gets the award as Best Cultural Village, an award that would add to the one we already hold in Teguise as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain”.
“In Teguise”, emphasises Duque, “we have a great cultural tradition promoted by numerous groups and associations of folklore, music, theatre and art, which make our municipality a hotbed of culture and traditions thus contributing to strengthen our identity, while future generations can know it and keep it alive.”
