The Lanzarote Cabildo president, María Dolores Corujo, has a busy schedule lined up at the 2023 International Tourism Fair in Madrid, holding 67 meetings with various country representatives.
The event started this Wednesday, January 18th, with the Cabildo president along with CACT both CACT CEOs are attending the event.
Corujo has started the event with a busy schedule of 67 meetings with representatives from various countries, with the aim of promoting the island worldwide along with the idea of sustainable tourism.
The Cabildo president expressed her satisfaction at being able to attend the fair once again this year, and for having been able to successfully leave Covid-19 in the past.
On the opening day of Fitur 2023, Corujo stated that “the idea to be developed at this event in Madrid will be that of an island that does not want more tourists or beds, but less mass and more income, more quality and maintaining the uniqueness of the destination at all costs.”
“We seek to follow the path of the concepts and aesthetics with which César Manrique has made us unique, so our work in the near 70 meetings that we will hold will be to open new doors to markets that align with our model of responsible and sustainable tourism”, she added in closing.
