The announcement, made at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) in Madrid, confirms the airline will add three additional weekly flights to the island.
This increase brings Jet2’s total weekly operations to Lanzarote to 70 flights, providing nearly 20,000 extra seats. In total, the airline will offer 420,000 seats to the Lanzarote this summer.
Across the other islands…
- Tenerife South remains the airline’s second most important airport in Spain, behind only Palma de Mallorca. It will see over 660,000 arrival seats and more than 100 weekly flights during the peak season.
- Gran Canaria will receive around 13,000 more seats than in summer 2025, totalling over 290,000 seats and peaking at 47 flights per week.
- Fuerteventura is set for the highest growth, with an additional 23,000 seats scheduled compared to last season. This brings its total to around 250,000 seats, with up to 42 weekly flights.
At the peak of the season, Jet2 will operate approximately 260 weekly flights to the Canary Islands. These will be direct services from all 14 of its UK bases: Belfast, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London-Gatwick, London-Luton, London-Stansted, Manchester, and Newcastle.
Jet2 CEO, Steve Heapy, stated, “We are delighted to be giving customers and independent travel agents more choice and flexibility when it comes to getting away to the beautiful Canary Islands.”
Additionally, Jet2holidays, will offer package holidays in collaboration with almost 450 hotels across the archipelago.
