41 streets in Arrecife’s city centre and Altavista barrio will be resurfaced for a price of €2.47 million.
The Lanzagrava company has won the contract for the works, which will take place towards the end of 2022 and into 2023.
The city centre streets to be affected are important arteries such as Calle’s Portugal, Triana, Paraguay, La Pasionaria, Doctor Fleming and La Inés.
These will not be the only roadworks on the island in the next few months. Local elections take place next May and Lanzarote always gets used to the smell of hot tarmac in the previous months as councils use up their budgets and attempt to make a good impression.
