Lanzarote had the highest hotel occupation in Spain in March, according to recent statistics.

With 91.7% of hotel rooms full, Lanzarote’s figures were better than any other region in Spain. The total was lower when all accommodation was taken into account, at 72.9%, but Lanzarote was still only beaten by Tenerife in this regard. 

All-in-all, the Canaries accounted for 40% of all the nights spent in Spain by foreigners in March.

Compared to last March, the country has seen a 17.1% rise in hotel stays, and an increase in prices of 10.5%.
