Haría Ayuntamiento has earmarked €580,000 for the renovation and extension of the town’s Municipal Market.
The Municipal Market, by the side of the Barranco de Tenesía, is a little treasure that is often overlooked by visitors to the northern town, who normally flock to the Saturday craft market in the main square.
The money derives from surplus funds remaining from the last council, and more funds will be used for “digital panels” designed to inform tourists about the town, and traffic-calming measures including raised pedestrian crossings.
