San Bartolomé Mayor, Isidro Pérez, and the Canarian Education Minister, Manuela Armas, yesterday signed off the agreement to build a new primary school in San Bartolomé.
The new school will cost €8 million and be named the Centro de Educación Infantil y Primaria (CEIP) Alcalde Alexis Tejera Lemes, in honour of the young mayor who died of a degenerative illness last year. It will take the place of the current provisional primary school facilities in the Casa Ajei.
