A fisherman in La Graciosa had to be airlifted to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife last Saturday, after he suffered a fall on the rocky area of Playa de Las Conchas.
At approximately 10:30am last Saturday morning, emergency services were called to an incident that had taken place on Playa de Las Conchas on La Graciosa. A nurse from La Graciosa arrived at the beach to attend the injured fisherman who had suffered a nasty fall on the rocky outcroppings of the beach.
As a result of the fall, the fisherman had suffered serious trauma. As La Graciosa is only normally accessible by the ferry, the man had to be airlifted to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.
According to the report he was kept stable on the journey to the hospital, by the nurse who travelled with him on the air ambulance.
